Overview

These Terms of Service outline the expectations for every appointment, on-site visit, and communication with Preventive Appliance Repair.

Booking an appointment, requesting a quote, or accessing any portion of this website confirms your agreement to the policies below.

Services & Estimates

Telephone or online estimates are provided as educated ranges based on the symptoms you describe. Final pricing is confirmed after a technician performs an in-home diagnosis.

Every completed job includes a written or emailed invoice itemising the labour performed, parts installed, total cost, and the warranty period that applies to the visit.

Payment Terms

Payment is due when service is completed unless you have a written maintenance agreement stating otherwise. Balances that remain unpaid for more than 30 calendar days may incur a late charge and could be transferred to a third-party collections partner.

If parts must be ordered, a deposit may be required. Quotes are honoured for 30 days unless parts availability changes outside of our control.

Customer Responsibilities

Please clear a safe workspace around the appliance before the technician arrives and ensure pets or children remain away from the area while work is in progress.

The customer or an authorised representative aged 18 or older must be present and able to approve the completed work at the time of service.

  • Provide accurate appliance information (brand, model, symptoms)
  • Confirm access to water, gas, and electrical shutoffs as needed
  • Reschedule promptly if illness or unsafe conditions arise

Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule, contact us as soon as possible so the original appointment slot can be offered to other customers experiencing outages.

We reserve the right to postpone or decline service whenever site conditions are unsafe or when the requested work would violate manufacturer safety guidelines.

Warranty & Liability

Completed repairs include a 90-day labour guarantee and the manufacturer warranty on installed parts unless otherwise noted on your invoice.

Warranty claims require the original invoice. Damage caused by misuse, unauthorised work, or unrelated appliance failures is excluded.

Preventive Appliance Repair is not responsible for loss of food, beverages, or secondary damage that occurs prior to or during the service window.
